how spells are executed

CAST refers to the execution of a SPELL. Once a SPELL has been paid for in THAUM, it resolves.

SPELLS are made of GLYPHS. SPELLS use one ACTION TYPE per CAST through ACTIVATOR GLYPHS.

SPELLS are CAST from a CONDUCTIVE tool. The tool provides an inherited vector or TARGET.

casting requirements

To CAST a SPELL, all of the following must be true:

• the CASTER has a CONDUCTIVE TOOL equipped
• the CASTER’S POOL contains sufficient THAUM
• the CASTER’S CALLS are equal to or greater than the SPELL’S CALL COST
• the CASTER’S THAUMAPACITY is equal to or greater than the SPELL’S THAUM COST
• the SPELL contains at least 1 ACTIVATOR GLYPH

SPELLS fail if any requirement is not met.
